Organizations in the manufacturing sector must shift towards to data-driven manufacturing by integrating data science capabilities both vertically and horizontally. Creating new values from data-driven features of digital transformation is a fundamental component, but it requires fundamental changes in the context of organization, process, capability, and business models. Managing the digital transformation process requires a specific set of strategic tools that take into account the complexity of the transformation process. For this purpose, assessment models have a critical impact for assisting organizations with guidance and present a road map for continuous progressions. This project aims to develop and propose a novel manufacturing-focused, data-driven model and to contribute to manufacturing firms by identifying alternative strategies for road map in digital transformation process. The initiators of the project are Kadir Has University faculty members; Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Nafiz Aydın and Assoc. Prof. Ömer Faruk Görçün.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Görçün is a distinguished academic and expert in the field of logistics and supply chain management. Currently serving as a Faculty Member at Kadir Has University, Dr. Görçün is renowned for his contributions to transportation optimization and decision-making techniques.
His extensive professional experience includes significant roles in the transportation council of the Ministry of Transportation of Turkey, as well as leadership positions in Research & Development committees and railway regulation committees. He is the author of several scholarly books on topics such as Industry 4.0, Integrated Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse and Inventory Management, and Railway Transportation.
